Welcome to the Falconorth Institute
Alters – An Inhuman Story, is a nordic Larp about the human cost of a catastrophe that changed the world.
Three years ago, a supernatural meteor shower gifted people across the world with inhuman abilities. These people were dubbed Alters.
Fear spread. Chaos spread. Alters were hunted and killed as a threat to society.
When the Second Alterfall began a year ago, a military government program was approved to handle the situation – The Alter Initiative.
The Initiative offered a choice to the Alters:
Go through training, learn to control your powers, serve as a state agent for a number of years, and earn your freedom when you can be trusted
– or be interred in a high security prison for life.
One month ago, the Third Alterfall occured, and the new Alters were presented with that choice:
Prison or service.
This Larp is about the people who chose the contract. Within 24 hours of the Alterstones landing, they entered the Doors of the Falconorth Institute.
Ripped apart from who and what they were, reduced to the function of their powers. And with them, the Wardens who are both their caretakers and guards. Volunteers in this experimental program, who believe there is a future for the Alters.
This game is about identity, oppression, hope, and humanity.
